We Want to Hear From You Beginning in mid-January the church leadership will be asking what you think about six key areas of spiritual life. We will be using an in-depth survey designed by the Southern Baptist Convention that measure your perception of worship, evangelism, discipleship, ministry, fellowship, and prayer in your personal life and in the life of the church. This survey is 160 questions and you will have a separate answer sheet. We will distribute the survey through Sunday school and after the worship services on January 10 and 17. We will need both the answer sheet and the booklet returned by January 24 or 31.

This survey is our external review that we shared at our “looking to the future” Sunday in May of this year. We reached out to the South Carolina Baptist State Convention for resources that will help us determine where the people of our church are in their spiritual lives. Breakfast at the Barrel (Cracker Barrel at Carowinds) - This enjoyable activity takes place every 3rd Saturday of each month. January 16th from 9:30-10:30am will be our next breakfast. Get away on Saturday morning and delight in a big breakfast that you do not have to cook!
Join the Men - 2nd and 4th Saturday each month at 6:45-8:00 a.m. for breakfast and Bible study. If you have not taken time on Saturday’s for this event, you are missing out on an opportunity to fellowship with the men of the church. Mark your calendar.

Serving Our Neighbors (SON) The Pantry at our church continues to provide for a lot of families in need. Can use canned meat (like chicken or tuna), peanut butter and jelly, canned fruits, canned vegetables and canned pasta (like ravioli). TBCB Youth make sure your calendar is clear for Saturday, January 16, 2016 to help with the Youth Service Project. Keep watching for details. Can you believe our ski trip is right around the corner! Plans are to drive up to Winterplace Friday evening Feb. 26, 2016. We will ski all day Saturday, and drive home Sunday morning. In order to secure your spot you need to RSVP by paying $170 by Jan. 17, 2016. (Add $15 if snowboarding or subtract $16 if you don’t need to rent equipment). Cookies Fellowship Beginning in January, the Fellowship Ministry Team will have cookies in the café on Sunday mornings during the break after Sunday School and after the morning worship. Missing Items: The Church is missing three of our new white table clothes, the fitted black rectangular tablecloth, and one rectangular white embossed (Damask) 120” tablecloth which I donated to be used at the church with the one that is still there. If you have been kind enough to take these home for cleaning, please return them as soon as possible. In preparing for the Christmas Tea, it was discovered we were missing the clothes. The Women’s Ministry Team purchased 17 of these to cover the number of tables we usually put up for the annual Tea. Thank you, Beverly

Special thanks to Catherine Tullos, Terri Putnam, Marlin Bradberry and Andy Hanschu who take such good care of our babies and preschoolers during the Worship hour on the 2nd Sunday each month. This group is also always ready to fill in as substitutes whenever a need arises and Ms. Catherine plans the best special events for our children, including a Christmas celebration, where we learned about some symbols of Christmas and enjoyed a very creative snack. Thank you Catherine, Terri, Marlin and Mr. Andy!

More information coming soon! Sunday Night Live (SNL) kicks off again on Sunday, January 24. All children Kindergarten -5th grade meet each Sunday from 4:306:30pm in Building 3 to delve deeper into God’s Word. This coming semester, we will be mixing things up a little and taking a break from our usual curriculum. We are bringing back an old Vacation Bible School (maybe one you’ve never heard of), on a much smaller scale of course, for five weeks of SNL. Next, we will also spend a few weeks studying the Armor of God. As always, we’ll mix in a few weeks of “Fun Nights” and “Movie Nights”. There will be a new Semester Challenge for the children to work on, so come on January 24 and find out all that this semester holds!
