A Charge Conference (in conjunction with a regular Church Council meeting) has been called for Tuesday, February 4 at 6:00 p.m. in the Wesley Chapel. The purpose of the Charge Conference will be to consider approving a resolution that would provide for Central UMC, Inc. to accept the property and assets of Wiggins UMC-Fayetteville as approved by a Charge Conference held at Wiggins on Sunday, January 19. If Central agrees to accept the property and assets, Wiggins will continue to function as a church until the end of April at which time the church will temporarily close. It will then re-launch in the fall of 2014 as a satellite congregation of Central under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Jody Farrell with primary staff assistance from Dr. Jim Hightower. Also, the Charge Conference will consider renewal of candidacy for Ms. Lauren DeLano. All members of the Church Council are asked to attend this meeting.

Imagine No Malaria Central is helping to take the lead in the fight against malaria, a bloodborne disease that is transmitted through the bite of a mosquito, by receiving regular offerings on the first Sunday of every month. Malaria is the largest killer in the continent of Africa, claiming a life every 60 seconds. Our goal is to raise $100,000 over the next two years. For more information, contact Jody Farrell at [email protected] or 442-1805. The River Are you ready to feel God’s Presence? On Sunday, February 9th, at 6:00 p.m., come “where the river flows, life abounds” Ezekiel 47:9. This service is meant to usher in the Power of God and position you in the fellowship of other believers in prayer and worship. It’s led with scripture, song and prayer in Wesley Chapel. Do you need a touch of healing, a word of wisdom? If you haven’t been to the River lately, come get swept away! The River will is held each month. It’s casual and childcare is provided.
