CARRIER INTRODUCES NEW WEATHERMASTER™ ROOFTOPS (Orlando, FL. – February 7, 2005) – Carrier Corporation, the world leader in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and commercial refrigeration (HVAC/R), today introduces an expanded line of WeatherMaster Constant Volume Packaged Rooftops for the United States. “The WeatherMaster rooftop was originally introduced in the early 1990’s and continues to maintain some of the highest energy efficiencies in the unitary segment with ratings up to 13 EER,” said Bruce Burdon, director of product management and marketing, Carrier North America Commercial. “By expanding the current offering (3 to 15 tons) to 25 tons with the additions of 18, 20 and 25 ton size units, Carrier maintains the same adherence to high operational efficiencies with a full range of WeatherMaster rooftops. The entire product line also complies with the requirements of Energy Star® and exceeds ASHRAE 90.1 standards,” added Burdon. WeatherMaster packaged rooftops meet all current and proposed energy regulatory requirements and have been used extensively in conjunction with utility rebates. “With the increasing demand to provide higher levels of energy efficiency for packaged rooftops, WeatherMaster rooftops are an economical solution that reduces overall operating costs,” added David Sabatino, Carrier product manager,

WeatherMaster rooftops. “The new 18, 20 and 25 ton sizes further strengthen our existing product line and allow flexibility in replacement projects as the new units fit on older Carrier rooftop unit curbs,” added Sabatino. Carrier Corporation, headquartered in Farmington, Connecticut, is the world’s largest company providing heating, air conditioning and refrigeration solutions, with operations in 172 countries.
