STATE OF WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF ENTERPRISE SERVICES WEBS SOLE SOURCE NOTIFICATION The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) contemplates extending a sole source contract to Acquia, Inc., in support of DES’ current Drupal web page implementations. The implementation will also include a new agency website supporting the alignment of information technology services per Washington State House and Senate Bills (HB 1391 and SB 5315.) The vendor offers a Drupal Platform as a Service (PaaS) which includes cloud hosting, support, conversion, and development services. Acquia Cloud supports Drupal, open-source software, in its content management system which aligns with DES’. Acquia’s services include a continuous delivery, full end-to-end cloud platform as a service for high quality Drupal websites. The subscription also provides support, remote site administration, and training. The Drupal-tuned platform includes automated developer workflow, health and monitoring tools, availability, scalability, and a secure infrastructure deployed in Amazon Web Services’ government cloud. The anticipated period of performance for this sole source contract is July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016, with options to renew the PaaS. The annual dollar value is estimated at $45,000. This is not an invitation to bid. However, vendors contemplating the above requirements may submit capability statements detailing their ability to meet the state’s requirements within five (5) calendar days of this announcement. In the absence of other qualified sources, it is the state’s intent to make a sole source award of the contract.
