CONGREGATIONAL LEADERSHIP MEETINGS

LEAN INTO LENT: A Spiritual Journey This Lenten season we will journey together to connect with and lean-in-to spirituality. The word spiritual—relating to or affecting the spirit, relating to religion or religious beliefs and a religious song; thought to derive from European hymns and African musical elements by slaves in the American South. Each Sunday, the Chancel Choir will sing various African-American spirituals and gospel songs—perhaps we will be moved to sway our bodies and add an “Amen!” or “Hallelujah!” There will be multiple ways to LEAN INTO LENT through this holy time of year and we welcome you to lean in and take part to prepare our spirits for the journey, as we make our way toward the cross and beyond.
