Lions October 2018 Parents, The children had a great start to the new school year. They are doing a wonderful job getting into the routine and meeting new friends. October’s theme is Transportation. We will also explore seasonal changes, harvest time on the farm and fire prevention. Each week we will discuss a topic and incorporate God’s Word in the form of a Bible story. Our memory verse is “God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9, NLT Fire Prevention Week will be the week of October 8th through the 12th. The Nassau Bay Fire department will come show the children the fire truck and explain the purpose of their uniform. It is also a way to familiarize the children with a fire fighter in full protective gear. With all of this, get ready to see our children become little firefighters this month! We would love to invite you to join us for Parent Chapel Lesson on the 24th at 11:00 AM. There will be a chance for you to enjoy lunch and visit with other parents at 11:30 AM, right after Chapel. As the weather around us is starting to change, enjoy a cool evening with your child as you cuddle up with a great book. Take a moment and talk with your child about how God is changing the world around us this season. We would like to invite ALL the children to Day one Christian Academy’s 40 anniversary celebration on October 18th. We are having a Storybook theme with multiple fun activities in KidzSpace during preschool (9am-12pm) hours. We look forward to see everyone there.
