Simon Thomas Jacobs, organ; Chamber Music at RPC Orchestra We open the season in collaboration with Chamber Music at RPC with a concert of masterworks for organ and orchestra. Organist Simon Thomas Jacobs, winner of the 2013 St. Alban’s Competition, and a 15-piece chamber orchestra will thrill and delight us with music by J. S. Bach, Handel, Mozart, Grieg, and Rheinberger. Admission: $40 (premium seating); $25 (general seating); $10 (students)

Sunday, December 9 Bach: Cantata 140

10:00 a.m.

The tradition of Cantata Sunday continues as the Chancel Choir and soloists, accompanied by an orchestra of 17 players, present within worship Bach’s Cantata 140, Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme (Awake, The Voice Calls to Us) In addition, the orchestra will offer music to begin and to conclude the service. Free admission. Offerings received will assist the church in its outreach to the community.

Sunday, March 31 Mozart: Requiem

3:00 p.m.

The Chancel Choir and the Choir of Christ’s Church, Rye, accompanied by an orchestra, will present the stirring setting of the Requiem Mass begun by Mozart and completed, following his death, by Franz Süssmayr. Suggested Donation: $10
