The Check System is a behavioral strategy designed to reinforce the key skills participants learn throughout their time in the program. Checks are provided as a two-sided, 50-sheet tearoff pad. Participants learn how to do the Checks within specific Journals and staff/counselors can decide whether to utilize the checks in the participants’ daily interactions.

Check Your Attitude: Designed to
assist participants in exploring the eight positive attitudes that have been proven helpful to make positive, lasting changes. Participants explore a recent positive or negative situation and its relationship to using a particular attitude. Item #: CD14 | $10.50
Action Check:
The Action Check provides participants an opportunity to work with staff/counselors in targeting one of the three identified problem areas. Participants explore the resources they plan to use as they take action to change. It is important that the Action Check is completed in collaboration with staff/counselors. Item #: CD13 | $10.50
SMART Goal Check:
Assists participants in understanding and applying appropriate action to their goals. The SMART Goal Check provides participants with an evaluation tool that ensures that goals are specific, measurable, achievable, rewarding and trackable. Item #: CD17 | $10.50
Relationship Check:
A self-evaluation process for exploring the benefits of spending time around a specific individual. Participants evaluate what they offer to the relationship and the benefits they receive from the other person as it relates to making lasting, positive changes. Item #: CD15 | $10.50
