The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the implementation of marketing and sales strategies and operational plans for the business, to help deliver new student numbers and revenue targets including marketing planning, research, acquisition and cross sell programs within budget.

The person we are seeking will ideally have the following:  Exposure to the education industry in a professional capacity  Has previously worked in a project based or agency environment  Demonstrated strategic marketing experience coupled with business and sales acumen  Experience in developing and implementing integrated marketing plans  Critical thinking skills, developing solutions to overcome challenges by identifying opportunities  Ability to collaborate across a multi-site, matrix management environment  Strong influential skills with the capability to develop professional relationships within the many stakeholders across the business  Digital marketing software knowledge including social media and email campaigns  Degree qualified in Business Management, marketing or related discipline

Overview and Objectives of the Position Navitas is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programs, English language training and settlement services, creative media programs, work-force education and student recruitment. The Marketing Specialist, Careers and Internships role sits within the Careers and Industry division within Navitas. The division includes the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP), Health Skills Australia (HSA), Government Services, SAE Creative Media Institute and Navitas Professional. This position is primarily responsible and accountable for the provision of sales support and marketing services to Careers and Internships (Navitas Professional). The Marketing Specialist has responsibility for the implementation of marketing and sales strategies and operational plans for the business to help deliver new student numbers and revenue targets including marketing planning, research, acquisition and cross sell programs within budget. The Marketing Specialist is a key relationship manager and marketing lead for Careers and Internships and is required to build strong working relationships based on understanding business needs, designing and monitoring of growth programs, supported by comprehensive communications. This role will also be required to work on other activities and brands as directed by their line manager. Key relationships      

Key Result Areas 1. Financial performance  Work to strategically aligned growth plans and allocated budget to meet and support targets 2. Marketing and sales strategies, planning, implementation and monitoring  Develop, contribute to and implement marketing and operational plans including key strategic marketing initiatives  Ensure usability, relevance and currency of web, social media and printed collateral to meet the needs of students and partners  Identify and manage implementation of agreed promotion and campaign opportunities, including annual marketing activity calendars  Contribute to the planning and rollout of new programs, initiatives or projects  Provide data analysis and insights on campaign metrics and other performance indicators to key stakeholders 3. Campaign, communications and promotions planning and management  Design and manage student acquisition campaigns including nurturing campaigns to improve conversion rates  Monitor specific marketing campaigns and promotions against budget and recommend corrective action where necessary  Ensure campaign outcomes and insights are incorporated into future plans  Produce marketing collateral (including e-marketing collateral): conceptualisation, copywriting, content checking, adherence to brand guidelines, adherence to the provisions of the ESOS Act and other relevant legislation, proof-reading, agency liaison etc.  Develop and manage a social media strategy that supports business needs and campaign activity including updates, monitoring and administration  Work with the Associate Director Marketing, and Corporate Affairs Manager and PR/content staff to ensure the effective implementation of a PR communications plan to support Marketing campaigns  Ensure that all activities in relation to the setup, maintenance, posting, administration and removal of information in all materials are executed in line with Navitas policies and procedures 4. Execute brand strategy to build Navitas linkages Manage brand consistency throughout premises, internal and external signage and communications

Selection Criteria (Qualifications, Skills and Experience) Essential:  Degree in Business Management, Marketing or related discipline  Demonstrated strategic marketing and business planning skills including experience in developing and implementing integrated marketing plans  Critical thinking skills in developing solutions to complex problems and identifying opportunities  Comfort in working in multi-site, matrix management environment  Able to form strong professional relationships with peers in different disciplines and across Navitas  Sound negotiation skills together with excellent written and spoken communication skills  Commercial acumen including understanding the academic and commercial implications of actions taken  Demonstrated ability to manage projects and initiatives, set priorities to achieve objectives  A successful track record managing marketing or product management teams Desirable: 

Experience in a similar role in an education organisation



Experience in digital marketing, including social media and email campaigns
