Father Unknown Movie Sponsored By Intero Real Estate Service On June 11th we will be screening the film, FATHER UNKNOWN in Evergreen, sponsored by Intero Real Estate. It’s a true story about a journey I took with my father back to the orphanage in Switzerland where he lived as a boy. It’s a story about the intergenerational aspects of childhood trauma, attachment and the journey toward healing. It's also a story about fathers and the role they play in their children's lives. My father, Urban Quint is 74 and lives in Evergreen and will be hosting an audience conversation after each screening. Perhaps you can join us and would share this event with your group or on your organization's webpage? Members in the News Thrall Properties Holding a Mountain Real Estate Review Session Please join Cynthia Thrall for a review of the 1st quarter of 2016 Colorado Mountain Real Estate trends at our Your Castle Real Estate office located at: 1777 S. Harrison in Denver on May 18th from 6 PM until 8 PM. Please register at… Why invest in resort condos? Suprisingly, many will likely have returns that match or exceed the stock market over the next five years. And most (not all) of the resort markets are at or beyond the bottom of the market cycle, making now a safe and smart time to buy. Many of our clients have a dream of buying a second home in the mountains. Learn the facts so you can decide if now is the time for your family, too. We’ll see what you can buy for different price points (starting at $100,000), learn about what different communities offer, and look at some actual, recent client experiences.

Affordable Housing in Evergreen? Have you read Steve Knapp’s article in this month’s Colorado Serenity on the affordable housing efforts underway here in town? Please do. Affordable housing for entry level employees is something that our economy desperately needs. 80% of our residents live here but do not work here. This presents the challenge that we all want and deserve fabulous customer service from our dentists, banks, schools, health care offices but it is hard to deliver. Businesses struggle to find employees who not only love their job but love it to the point that they want to be a part of our community, funneling wages back into Evergreen and becoming future homeowners, volunteers and workers moving up the responsibility ladder locally. Our businesses are small and cannot work the issue individually, that is why you see the Chamber educating all of us on what they need to improve our quality of life. Please call the Evergreen Chamber anytime if you have questions or concerns. We cannot tell you what is the perfect building site-- that is not the Chamber’s area of expertise. What we can tell you is that affordable housing- not section 8, voucher, or HUD housing- affordable housing is what we desperately need in town.
