MISSIONS PROJECTS

Pinelake has developed partnerships and relationships with a variety of ministries in the Jackson metro area, including several in a neighborhood downtown. Our desire is for these to be long-term relationships that will allow us to speak truth into the lives of people and to see worshipping communities established. Our goal is to provide opportunities for Pinelake to share the hope found in Jesus with these people as we serve with them in their community and for the faith family in those neighborhoods to be an encouragement to Pinelake as they walk out their faith. We are striving to both love the unloved and reach the unreached, the homeless, the abused and the ignored.

LEVERAGE

Kingdom Focused Neighboring. In response to God’s stirring in our people, Pinelake launched a ministry called Leverage. Simply put, it is Pinelake members “re-neighboring” (moving) to a Jackson neighborhood in order to see life-change and community transformation. There are two families who have already moved and are loving neighbors. Ways to be involved include moving to the neighborhood, being a part of a support team and praying and serving in the neighborhood. If God is calling you to move, whether for a day or for a season of life, contact the Missions Ministry at 601.829.4570 or email [email protected].

2ND SATURDAY & 4TH SATURDAY

Monthly Serving Opportunity. On the 2nd Saturday of each month, Pinelake serves with one of our local partners. It is a great way to be introduced to what God is doing in the Jackson metro area. On the 4th Saturday of the month we will serve with residents of two local Jackson neighborhoods. Each month we will serve in either the Midtown neighborhood around Millsaps or in west Jackson near the zoo with Rosemont Baptist Church. It will be a great way to build on-going relationships with people we will see on a regular basis. For more information about either 2nd Saturday or 4th Saturday, contact the Missions Ministry at 601.829.4559, email [email protected] or visit http://bit.ly/PLLocalApp to sign up.

NEXT STEPS

Having people serving in these in ministries is not the ultimate goal. Rather, the goal is to see people develop relationships that allow the Truth to be spoken in love and ultimately make disciples. There are many ways to serve the Kingdom using the talents, gifts, passions, and professions God has given to you. Whether it’s cooking, music, carpentry, art, sports, dance, medical/dental, legal or construction, there is a place for you to use it to connect with and bless others.
