My Benefits. My Choices. …Focusing on Your 2015 Harris Benefits There’s change and then there’s change. Harris Corporation’s 2015 annual enrollment was all about significant change that would impact their employees’ all-important health care programs. In fact, there would be new Medical, Dental and Vision Care Plan choices that would lead to mandatory enrollments or employees would default—for certain plans, to no coverage. Also being introduced were the Best Doctors referral program and a host of voluntary benefits that could be beneficial to participants’ welfare—if they took the time to learn about them. Focus…we needed to bring focus. In addition to an extensive e-communication campaign that included both employee and family websites, e-cards, a mobile app and a detailed e-zine, we determined it was essential to summarize what was happening—in a user-friendly, graphic fashion—and push that information to the home. Family members also use and benefit from these plans. Having the information in their hands would hopefully encourage employees to make enrollment decisions on a timely basis. In an e-world, we also felt it beneficial to have something sitting on the kitchen counter as an ongoing reminder instead of having our entire communication hovering overhead in the cloud. We developed an engaging self-mailer that went to employees’ homes prior to enrollment. My Benefits. My Choices. Focusing on Your 2015 Harris Benefits, a six-panel folder, presented the facts, the action steps, decisions and the communication sources. We developed a fold (schematic attached) that revealed the information in a logical fashion and picked up design elements from the e-program. We boiled down what “needed to be said and known and done” and were able to provide a ready and accessible reference source to guide people and encourage their active participation in the enrollment process.

It does not include non-exempt employees working on the Harris IT Services State 6 or GSA9/CDC contracts, or Harris employees outside the continental United States. The contents provide a high-level summary of information about certain benefit plans being offered for the 2015 plan year and in no way replace the plan documents that actually govern the operation of all benefit plans. If there is ever a discrepancy between the information in this publication and the plan documents, the latter will always prevail.
