discussion questions 1. Joshua 21:45 tells us that “Not one word of all the good promises that the Lord has made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.” Take some time and celebrate ways God’s promises have been realized in your own life. Share your story with your Life Group. 2. Pastor Matthew highlighted at least three major prophecies that have been perfectly, literally fulfilled. (See Isaiah 44:28, Jeremiah 25:11–12 and Daniel 9:26.) Explore with your Life Group what we may then expect regarding prophecies yet to be fulfilled, such as the one found in Daniel 9:27.

3. Daniel 9:24 points out that a decree has been issued for the Jewish people and for Jerusalem. Read Deuteronomy 28 and especially weigh verse 58 for understanding into why such difficulty has been decreed for God’s people. How might this influence your own life? 4. In Mark 13:14, Jesus reminds His audience of Daniel’s prophecy regarding “the abomination of desolation.” What do Jesus’ words in Mark 13:14–25 suggest about this future event? How might Mark 13:33 influence you? Message notes available at newhopechurchmn.org/messages. Next Week: Daniel 10:1–11:1: We Wrestle Not With Flesh & Blood, Pastor Matthew St. John
