July Red Carpet Award—Arctic Circle Arctic Circle was nominated for July’s Red Carpet Award by Shamra Jancanella. Shamra had this to say about Arctic Circle, “Because even with my order being mixed up they made it correct and compensated for the trip I had to make back.” Arctic Circle received a $25 Gift Certificate, a Red Carpet Pin, as well as other advertising. They will be entered in the Red Carpet of the Year Award for 2015 to be presented in 2016.

Lunch and Learn - “Providing Networking Opportunities” THE HAMPTON INN Augusts’ Luncheon will be held on Wednesday the 19th at noon at the Hampton Inn in Green River. Augusts’ Luncheon will be a catered event by Papa Murphy’s. We will hear from Melanie Hutchinson with the Back Pack Program and Mike Moody with the Aquatic Center. At July’s Luncheon, we heard from Jenissa Bartlett with Sweetwater County Travel and Tourism about upcoming events and Brie Blasi with the Sweetwater County Museum about Historical facts of Green River. The winners from July’s Lunch and Learn were as follows: Sara Richardson with Joint Powers Water Board won the quarter page ad in our Newsletter; Megan Brown with Golden Hour Senior Center won the free flyers for our Newsletter; Green River Imports Plus won the business profile in our Newsletter; Maggie Bartlett with Western Wyoming Community College won free radio ads; Green River Imports Plus and Judy Graham with the Krazy Moose both won Papa Murphy’s Cheesy Bread Certificates donated by Papa Murphy’s Pizza; and Barbara Nickels-Smith won the 50/50 raffle. We do ask that you RSVP for each Luncheon to the Green River Chamber at 307875-5711 or email [email protected] or [email protected] by Monday, August 17th by 10:00 AM. If you know by August 17th that you will not be able to attend, please let us know and you will not be invoiced. Lunch will be $12 for members and $15 for non-members. URA/Main Street Clock Tower Ribbon Cutting The Green River Chamber hosted a ribbon cutting for Green River URA/Main Street on Monday, June 29th to celebrate the newly renovated Clock Tower Plaza located in Downtown Green River. URA/ Main Street received a grant from the Wyoming Business Council to renovate the park. There have been many changes and additions to the park venue and it looks great! Make sure to walk through the park to see all the great additions and call the URA/Main Street office to ask about hosting your next event in the Clock Tower Plaza at 307-872-6141!

Mustang Versatility—Trail Ride Buckle Series 2015 July’s Event was awesome! Great weather….sun was shining! Ran very smooth this time. Event was held at the Farson Arena area, just outside the Arena. The Arena itself was a bit water logged and it worked out very nicely in the open area just north of the arena. Course included a jump, “bridge”, picking up a hat off your horse with a stick and more fun obstacles! Lucy Mack had the course setup just amazing… flowed very nicely. Thanks to Judge Chezney Leisch for doing a great job AGAIN. Thanks to the Committee that helps put the event on: Chair – Janet Hartford, Co-Chair – Lynn Huckaby, Treasurer – Chris Thomas, Secretary - Dava Martin, Course Chair – Lucy Mack, Course – Co Chair – Nate Thomas. The next Trail Ride will be at the Scott’s Bottom Nature Area Signup for the Trail Ride starts at 8 a.m., event at 9 a.m at the large picnic shelter. Following the Trail Ride the committee is hosting a Poker Run!! Poker Run, on horses of course, will start at about 4 p.m. The route will take you through the park, around the open area to the north and end back at the large picnic shelter at Scott’s Bottom. There will be a 60/40 payout to the top 4 poker hands. $10 per hand as many hands as you want to buy!!!
