February Calendar

What a fantastic night of Volunteer Appreciation and Recruitment! The deacons did a great job putting this together and John Mayes outdid himself (again) with the Prime Rib! Our church is blessed with volunteers! The church works because they work! Money and facilities are of no value without our volunteers! If you’re not serving in a ministry, please consider volunteering. I’m in the airport on my way to visit the saints in Senegal. I’m excited to see what the Lord has done with the seeds we planted following the Great Commission! Sharing the Gospel locally, state wide, nationally and internationally is our primary function as a church. All of our ministries are to be directed to that ultimate end. Small groups like *Dlife, fill a vital role in the discipleship process that produces ChristFollowers able to fulfill the Great Commission. Are you part of a Group Yet? February is the month of our annual Valentines Banquet. Be sure to sign-up to be part of this wonderful night of fun, food and fellowship!

Ladies Lunch Bunch All ladies of the church are invited! Thursday, February 8, 2018 This month the ladies will be going to the Cracker Barrel on the Gulf Freeway in League City. If you want to carpool, the church van will leave the parking lot at 11:00 am or you can meet us at the restaurant at 11:30 am. Come dressed in your red hat regalia, (over 50-wear red and purple, under 50-wear pink and lavender. You don’t have to wear either, but you have to wear something!) R.E.F.U.G.E. Student Ministry (6th through 12th grade) R.E.F.U.G.E. Student Ministry Sunday School meets every Sunday, 9:30—10:30 am in the #1 portable building directly behind the main church building.

R.E.F.U.G.E. Student Ministry Wednesday Discipleship and Activities start at 6:30 pm, ends at 7:30 pm in #1 portable building directly behind the main church building..

Kemah Boardwalk Day ~ Saturday, February 10

Saturday, February 10 ~ The youth will meet at the church at 9:00 am and leave for the boardwalk at 9:30 am. Each person will need $15 for wristbands and money for food and drinks throughout the day.

Sunday, February 18 ~ Spud Run Fundraiser The youth will be serving fully loaded baked potatoes after each worship service for $5.00/each. Stop by in the foyer to get your lunch on your way home. All proceeds will go towards sending our youth to Super Summer this year. Wednesday, February 21 ~ Church Business Meeting

Sunday, February 11 ~ Valentine Gram Fundraiser Ends. Choose and Order your package:  Dog House $15 (Card, Box of Chocolates)  In Love $20 (Card, Box of Chocolates, Flowers)  True Love $30 (Card, Box of Chocolates, Flowers, Stuffed Animal)  Personalize all packages with cards that you can fill out for your loved one.  Personalize “True Love” package by choosing a stuffed animal.  Choose your *preferred* delivery time  Wednesday, February 14 (or packages may be picked up that evening at the church), Delivery times are 2:00—3:00 pm, 3:00—4:00 pm, 4:00— 5:00 pm or 5:00—6:00 pm.

Women’s Ministry Bible Study Every Sunday at 5:00 PM The women will continue the Bible Study “Patchwork...the handiwork of God” and as a bonus they are making quilts for cancer patients. All women are welcome!

Saturday, March 10 ~ Church Grounds Work-Day begins at 8:00 am. We need many volunteers to pressure wash, cut trees, and weed flower beds just to mention some of the items needing attention.
