No expense spared in remodeling and renovating Château Mont-Sainte-Anne 27 / 11 / 2012 No expense spared in remodeling and renovating Château Mont-SainteAnne Mont Sainte-Anne, November 26, 2012—Château Mont-Sainte-Anne, a tourist and business institution nestled between the mountains and the river in Côte-de-Beaupré, only 30 minutes from Quebec City, has undergone a complete transformation. Since it was acquired by Sébastien and Henri Roy in 2005, sizeable investments have been made to update, remodel and renovate Château Mont-Sainte-Anne. And this is just the beginning.

Phase 1:

Designing a stylish, environmentally friendly and cozy château From 2005 to 2011, the new owners worked with well-known specialists to maximize investments of more than $7 million. The architectural firm of Lemay Michaud redesigned and remodeled the common areas, including the lobby, convention centre, meeting rooms, the Bistro and the SPA. Then, starting in 2010, the 56 studio units and 8 penthouse condos in ESPACENORDIK were renovated, along with the Château's façade and exterior. The new ESPACENORDIK section was renovated in compliance with LEED EB criteria. The management also implemented a policy for waste reduction, recycling and use of environmentally friendly products. Green practices are now part of the Château's daily operations. The hotel has obtained “4 Green Keys” certification, and is a member of the Réservert network.

Phase 2:

Building on the momentum In 2012, the owners renovated the 14 ESPACENORDIK penthouse condo units at a cost of $2.5 million, completing renovations to the sixth floor of the secure hotel complex. Additionally, the development of the new RESIDENCES section began with investments of more than $1 million in 2012. A major investment was also made in the Château Studio section and common areas in 2012, including renovations to the convention centre, common areas and meeting rooms. The dining room received a complete facelift, and the first phase of renovations to the 56 Château studios will conclude in December.

Phase 3

New investments and a plan to build a sports and recreation centre In 2013, the Château plans to continue its investment plan of more than $10 million in order to complete the major renovation program at the hotel complex, including the Château Studio section, ESPACENORDIK the Condo-Hotel section, the VIP RESIDENCES section, as well as some common areas. In the next few years, the Château plans is to develop a new sports and recreation complex, including a four-season aquatic

centre, Nordic baths with spa and fitness room, as well as family game areas. This is another project valued at more than $3 million.

Life at the foot of the hill: a dream come true? Strapping on your skis at home and heading over to the gondola for a few runs down the slopes before leaving for work is a dream that is already possible at Château Mont-Sainte-Anne. The ESPACENORDIK and RÉSIDENCES condos are located in the secure VIP sections across from the Mont-Sainte-Anne gondola, with direct access to the lifts. It's an endless playground! From lofts to oversize penthouses, owners can purchase a 450-square-foot hideaway or more than 2,000 square feet to be developed according to their taste, which they can choose to use it as an investment in a condohotel, while still enjoying the main services provided by co-ownership. Owners have the choice of occupying their unit as a secondary residence and/or renting it through Château Mont-Sainte-Anne's exclusive services. It's no surprise that a large number of these condos have already found takers.
