The Chancellor will travel to Blackpool on the afternoon of 10 October, and will not return to London before the weekend of L5/L6 October.
2. While he will be receiving boxes at B1ackpool, he will not be able to deal there with the customary mass of papers; and it cannot be assumed ttrat he will be able to react ín' stantly to any. Large dossj-ers on which decisions wiII be required by the end of next week should therefore, whenever possible, reach his office thís week. '

The Chancellor has asked me to spend some of next week in

2. I propose to do this . It would. be in line wÍth wlrat I did for Sj-r G Howe last year and in 1981. I would go up on 11 October, and return on L2 or 13 October. 3.
