Winter Camp Packing List A “Must Do” for Luggage: 1. Label ALL luggage and items with a permanent marker (name, address, phone, church). 2. Make sure that your camper can carry all the luggage they are bringing to camp. (Wheeled suitcases are NOT recommended due to the outdoor terrain.) 3. Prepare for cold weather! It can be rainy, snowy, or just plain cold! It is advised that campers follow our packing list, have jackets with them on the bus, and that all luggage is covered in clear waterproof bags. For real time weather updates, please visit: www.foresthome.org/about/weather-mill-creek-canyon The Essentials:  Sleeping bag and pillow. We recommend the sleeping bag is in a water proof bag (a plastic trash bag works). An extra small blanket is also a good idea!  Bible (and pencils) – be sure your name is in your Bible  Bath towel and washcloth  Flashlight: Please be sure to label the flashlight and send extra batteries.  Camera: Disposable cameras are the best. Be sure to label it!  Water bottle: Reusable with secure lid for hiking. Please label with camper’s name in permanent marker.  General toiletries : soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, etc. o Chapstick or other lip protection with sunscreen o Waterproof Sunscreen (needed for snowy conditions, too) o Lotion – higher elevation=dry skin  Warm, waterproof clothing o Plenty of clean socks & underwear.
