VBS Prayer Guide 2019 Ask God to prepare workers for each area and that He will fill any open positions with the people He has called. Luke 10:2 Pray for the Children's Ministry staff and all those involved in the planning and preparation of VBS. Colossians 1:9 Ask God to place His protection around our church and those that will attend VBS from the attacks of the enemy.  Psalm 140:4 Thank God for giving us LIFE in Jesus's Name! John 20:31 Pray for new families that God will bring to our church for VBS. Pray for parents and kids to form relationships during VBS and find true community here. John 13:34-35 Pray for all teachers and volunteers in the area they are serving! Pray that they would see the eternal impact they are making and do it as an act of worship unto the Lord, no matter what their role is! 1 Corinthians 15:58 Ask God to give energy and stamina to workers who will lead kids to worship Him through music and drama.  Philippians 4:13 Pray for those who are leading missions. Ask God to give them a heart and passion for the missionary families they will teach about. Psalm 96:3 Ask for physical safety and energy for those who are leading recreation during the week. Psalm 138:3 Pray a blessing on all the snacks that will be served at VBS and the workers that will prepare them. Psalm 118:14 Thank God for the creativity and passion of those leading crafts. Ask God to give them patience and compassion for the children with whom they will work. Ephesians 4:2 Pray for the Bible Study leaders to effectively communicate God's love to the children they teach. 1 John 4:19

As kids hear about God's love for them, pray they would understand that it is not because of anything they can do or earn. Pray that we would be like Jesus and go after "the one" that needs to know how much they are loved by Him. Luke 15:3 Ask God to help everyone serving at VBS to do everything with kindness and love. 1 Corinthians 13:4  Pray for students and adults who are attending VBS. Ask God to open their hearts to hear His Word in a fresh and new way.  Hebrews 4:12 Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to kids that Jesus is the only way to true and eternal life! John 14:6 Pray for the parents that drop-off and pick-up their kids. Ask that their interactions with other adults would be positive and encouraging. Pray that unchurched parents would feel loved and accepted here. Romans 15:7 Pray that children will continue to increase in wisdom concerning God's Word. Luke 2:52 Pray for student and adult leaders to effectively share the Gospel and for children to respond to what they have heard. Romans 1:16 Pray that Paramount's VBS will bear spiritual fruit and glorify God. John 15:8 Pray for those that will make decisions of faith, both children and adults alike! Pray that they will know that God can handle our doubts and questions, and He even helps us to believe the truth of the Gospel! John 20:29 Ask God to bless the follow-up efforts to contact all prospects and invite them to be involved in different areas of our church. 1 Corinthians 12:12 Pray that kids would understand that following Jesus and what He asks us to do will not be easy, but it is always worth it! Ask that kids would know that they are sent to the people around them and to the ends of the earth to get the Gospel to those that have never heard it! Acts 16:25,32
