WCGS Parent-Teacher Conferences – Fall 2018

ONLINE REGISTRATION: Families may “register” their family/children at any time! 1. Register your family: Go to the WCGS website, click on the Conferences button, and then click the PTCWizard icon. All parents should register as “First Time Parents” (even if you are registered with another school). **Be sure your e-mail address is entered correctly to receive a confirmation e-mail with your schedule.** 2. Add your student(s): Enter your student(s) names as prompted. You’ve registered!

ONLINE CONFERENCE SCHEDULING: Families may proceed with “conference scheduling” as follows: Families receiving an invitation for advance conference scheduling: Details for advance scheduling will be included in their invitation. Conference Scheduling for all families: Beginning Wednesday, October 24, at 8:00 p.m. 1. Conference Scheduling: Go to the WCGS website, click on the Conferences button, and then click the PTCWizard icon. Sign in to the system using the e-mail address/password you created when you registered. 2. Date/Time: Select the conference day – Thursday and/or Friday.

WCGS Parent-Teacher Conferences – Fall 2018 3. Select the teachers you wish to see. a. K-5th GRADES – Select ONLY the homeroom teacher of each of your Kindergarten through 5th grade children. Conferences with these teachers are 20 minutes long. You will ONLY meet with your child’s homeroom teacher. * * If your child receives reading instruction from Mrs. Joanne King, you may

meet with her separately OR have Mrs. King join your homeroom conference. I.

If you would like to have a separate conference with Mrs. King, simply select her name in PTCwizard along with the other teachers you are booking conferences with. Her conference schedule will appear alongside the other teachers, allowing you to select a time slot. If you would like to have Mrs. King JOIN YOU when you conference with your child's homeroom teacher, please contact Beth Wright AFTER booking with the homeroom teacher to have those arrangements made for you.

b. 6th/7th/8th GRADES – Please prioritize with whom you choose to meet based on the needs of your student. Some junior high teachers instruct over 150 students! Select the teachers that you feel you should see. Conferences are 10 minutes long. (Junior High teachers DO NOT have sufficient conference time to meet with the parents of EVERY student they teach). Parents of 6th graders are encouraged to book a conference with your student’s homeroom teacher AND any other teachers that you feel you should see. 4. Reserve the times for each teacher you’ve selected. Select the correct student from the drop-down menu beside the time-slot. 5. After you have completed your conference schedule, the details of your schedule will be automatically e-mailed to the address you entered when you registered. 6. You can log back into your account to modify or review your schedule, if necessary. (You would sign in as a “Returning Parent.”) 7. If there are no available openings or the times offered will not work for you, please e-mail the teacher and he/she will make alternate arrangements to conference with you. 8. Be sure to bring a printout of your conference schedule with you to your conferences.
