And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. Everything God wants you to know about himself is found in Jesus Christ

Colossians 1:19-20 For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself

Ephesians 3:14-21 For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge —

Ephesians 3:14-21 that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 1. The church is the place of God’s glory

We should do ministry in such a way that it shows off how awesome God is!

2. The church is the passion of Christ’s heart

Ephesians 5:1 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

John 17:21-23 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

3. The church is the plan of Christ’s mission

4. The church is the perfecting of Christ’s people people

Ephesians 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

Ephesians 4:11-13 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.
