PPC STUDENT MINISTRY

The Apostles’ Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. +Hymn # 581

SUMMER SERVE DATES -SAT//AUG 18: SRV CLT—We will meet at the church at 8:15 am and be back around 2 pm. We will stop for lunch on the way back.

THE CHRISTIAN EDUCATION COMMITTEE loves our volunteers and appreciates the time and talents shared with our children and youth. In an effort to keep our church the safest possible, it is requested that each adult volunteer who works with children and youth in any way fill out and turn in a voluntary criminal background check form to Judy in the church office. This is only a criminal check, not credit check. You can find this form on the church website under resources and then forms. It is to be signed and turned in as soon as possible. Thank you for your cooperation in helping PPC continue to be the safe sanctuary that we are! Our BACKPACKS OF LOVE PROGRAM is growing! You can help meet nutritional needs all summer just like you do during the school year. We're continuing the program throughout CMS's summer break, so please keep those food donations coming! This week, we're especially in need of stews and hearty soups. Thank you for your continued generosity! A WOMEN’S SMALL GROUP has begun. We are exploring Keep it Shut: What to Say, How to Say It and when to Say Nothing at All, written by Karen Ehman. The meetings are held off campus at either the home of Alana White or Melissa Tamez, Wednesday nights at 7. Please come join us for fun and fellowship! For more information and to RSVP, call or text either Alana White at (704) 241-8380 or Melissa Tamez at (704) 258-5966. WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS BEGIN IN SEPTEMBER — There are some new things happening that will be exciting, so make plans now to come!! If you are able to volunteer for set up, clean up, or kitchen duties your help is appreciated. Contact Susan Griffin at Smgriffin@griffinmasonry,com if you are able to volunteer.

SUMMER MOVIE NIGHT Join us on Friday, August 17: A Wrinkle In Time at 7 p.m. in the Kerr Building. Bring a chair if you like. Popcorn and drinks will be provided.
