PPC STUDENT MINISTRY

The Apostles’ Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. +Hymn # 581

THE CHRISTIAN EDUCATION COMMITTEE loves our volunteers and appreciates the time and talents shared with our children and youth. In an effort to keep our church the safest possible, it is requested that each adult volunteer who works with children and youth in any way fill out and turn in a voluntary criminal background check form to Judy in the church office. This is only a criminal check, not credit check. You can find this form on the church website under resources and then forms. It is to be signed and turned in as soon as possible. Thank you for your cooperation in helping PPC continue to be the safe sanctuary that we are! Our BACKPACKS OF LOVE PROGRAM is growing! You can help meet nutritional needs all summer just like you do during the school year. We're continuing the program throughout CMS's summer break, so please keep those food donations coming! Thank you for your continued generosity! WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS BEGIN SEPTEMBER 5th—There are some new things happening that will be exciting, so make plans now to come!! If you are able to volunteer for set up, clean up, or kitchen duties, your help is appreciated. Contact Susan Griffin at [email protected] if you are able to volunteer. Registration forms are available from the information rack across from the church office. LADIES, PLAN TO ATTEND THE PW FALL MEETING on September 9 at 3:00 in the Kerr Building. We will enjoy ice cream and all the trimmings and will hear an overview of our coming year’s study by Janet Daniel. You can pick up your study books that day. Officers and moderators for the coming year will be installed. You don’t have to be active in a circle to join us for this meeting which is a social event as well. Please come! HOMECOMING IS APPROACHING SOON! Our annual Celebration of the Kirkin’ of the Tartans will take place on September 23rd. Please let the church office know by September 10 th who will carry your family’s tartan. We ask that only one person per family carry the tartan. All carriers must be in the 9th grade or older.
