+Those who are able please stand. WELCOME visitors and friends. We are happy you have joined us for worship. Please sign the Attendance Register so we may greet you. CONFIRMATION is a tradition in the Christian church that has for centuries been utilized as a tool to nurture the spirit and to increase an awareness of the biblical, spiritual, historical, governmental, theological, and practical elements of Christianity. Confirmation is for current 8th grade students. Classes will begin March 3 and will meet each Sunday until April 14 in the Youth Room immediately after the traditional worship service until 1:30pm. This course will cover the areas of Christian worship, church government, the Sacraments, church history, theology, the Scriptures, and spiritual nurture. As a final celebration, there will be a dinner on April 20 (time and place TBD), at which our confirmands will present their statements of faith. All family members of the confirmands are invited to attend! We will celebrate and recognize our confirmands on Sunday, April 21 (Easter) during worship service. If you plan on being part of Confirmation this year, please notify Shane.

BACKPACKS OF LOVE -- Our current needs are soups in small cans, hearty soups in larger cans, canned dinner meats such as ravioli/lasagna/ spaghetti/Beefaroni/chicken alfredo , white meat chicken, chili, vegetables and Beenie Weenies. Thank you for continuing to support the children of Clear Creek Elementary.

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS Register online for the spring semester. Contact Susan Griffin at [email protected] to volunteer or with questions. This week’s menu: sub sandwiches, chips, buttered noodles, salad, and dessert. WE ARE HAVING A fellowship outing in Wonderful Wednesday on Feb. 27 by playing “Bible Jeopardy”.

DID YOU KNOW? Friday evening, Parent’s Night Out welcomed 18 Kingdom Kids and 6 chaperones to the Kingdom Kids hallway for a night of food, fun, and service. Parents dropped off their kids at 6 p.m. so they could enjoy a welcomed night alone, and the kids got to work. They ate pizza, made wrapping paper for Bright Blessings, created flannel “knot” pillows for Room in the Inn children, played hide and seek in the Kingdom Kids classrooms, ate some more, sang a little, then settled down on sleeping bags to watch a movie till parents returned at 10 p.m. Your contribution to the current fund helps make opportunities like this possible. Through events like these, our younger members learn that church is more than a sermon on Sunday morning – it’s a place of love, acceptance, and fun. On behalf of these precious Kingdom Kids and their parents, thank you! MIDWEEK PRAYER SERVICE – Join us for an informal time of prayer every Wednesday 12:00 - 12:30PM in the sanctuary. Escape the busyness of your work week and join us for a time of reflection and prayer. If you're unable to join us, we invite you to pray with us from wherever you are. We really believe this will be a refreshing time. COME BE IN CHRIST at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church's annual Women's Retreat, Saturday, March 30, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Join other sisters in Christ as we fellowship and worship together, exploring "who we are in Christ" and what it means to "be in Christ." Free, with a soup and salad lunch provided. Use the form included in today’s bulletin to register or at www.philadelphiachurch.org. Childcare is available, but RSVP is required.

Come down to the Kerr Building to help bag rice and protein to send to other countries where hunger is rampant. This is a multi -generational mission here at PPC. Even young elementary schoolers can help! It ‘s quite an awesome event! If you haven’t done this before, that’s okay. Someone will gladly show you what to do. There’s no better way to spend a little of your time, and it helps so many people. Lunch will be provided. See you on March 17th!

PLEASE JOIN our church family for the Ash Wednesday Service on March 6th at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel. The Wonderful Wednesday schedule will be modified so that everyone can attend the service.
