First Presbyterian Preschool 2016

DROP-OFF/PICK-UP PROCEDURES 1. Please enter and exit the Drop-off/Pick-up area from 15th Street. Pull forward as far as possible. Fill in two rows in the lot for pick-up and drop-off. Please form ONE row ONLY at the entrance; this crowds the area and can be dangerous. 2. Stay in your car.  At drop-off time, a staff member will come to your car, check your child in, and escort your child to the classroom. When dropping off your child, be sure to mention who will be picking your child up. You will be asked to sign in with your phone number with our new hand held kiosk. The first week will be a learning experience for us all!  At pick-up time, a teacher will bring your child to your car. If you need to come into the school, you must park your car in a spot that is not designated for church staff. Please don’t leave your car in the parking line. You will again be asked to sign out your child or any child you are picking up on the hand held kiosk with your phone number. Thank you ! 3. If you cannot get into the parking lot, please drive around the block. Wait on 16th Street for a few minutes, and then pull around again to the lot entrance. Please do not stop on 15th Street — this blocks traffic and irritates our downtown neighbors! Police will also give you a ticket if you are blocking the driveway or street. We appreciate your patience!

4. Children will not be allowed to go home with anyone who is not listed on your child’s emergency card. There will be no exceptions to this. This is for your child’s protection. 5. If you are volunteering in the classroom, or for other long-term parking, we recommend that you park in one of the parking structures (15th & Pearl or 14th & Walnut). You may of course use the meters on Walnut or 16th, but the meter attendants are very vigilant; tickets are generously issued around our preschool. Preschool parents may park in spaces when they are driving for field trips. These will be reserved accordingly.

6. Please don’t be on your cell phone while in the Drop-off/Pick Up area. Thank you.

We need to have everyone’s cooperation to make this work. There are a lot of cars to move through the parking lot and we want to constantly be attentive to the children and their safety.
