Posturecraft Mattress Company to Locate Operations in Plantersville
Gov. Phil Bryant and officials from Posturecraft Mattress Company announced Tuesday, Sept. 17 the company is locating bedding manufacturing operations in Plantersville in Lee County. The project represents a $1.75 million company investment and is creating more than 100 new jobs. MDA provided $100,000 in ACE funds for facility improvements and a $50,000 workforce training grant in support of the project.

Tunica County Awarded Foreign Trade Zone Status
MDA Publishes Fiscal Year 2013 Annual Report
Tunica County was recently awarded Foreign Trade Zone status by the United States Department of Commerce. The county currently has 700 acres of industrial property under this designation including Schulz Xtruded Products, the Tunica Mega Site and the Tunica Airport. The county offers this status to manufacturing and distribution companies officially as FTZ #287.
The MDA FY2013 Annual Report is now available in print as well as a digital version online at mississippi.org. The report highlights MDA's divisions and showcases the successes the state of Mississippi has garnered over the last year. The work performed by every division at MDA is essential to bolstering the state's economy and helping our communities thrive. It is an honor for us to serve our state in these capacities.
