PRISON PREVENTION PRAISE RL&KH MACLELLAN 40K GRANT AWARDED AND MATCHED 1QTR 2018

...The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5: 16 (b)

As 2017 drew to a close, our Board of Directors met to petition God to open the windows of heaven in a mighty way. They were bold enough to pray that God would meet and exceed our needs, and for a second year in a row specifically requested a monetary amount. God began to answer our request by the Robert L. and Kathrina H. Maclellan Foundation awarding PPM a matching challenge grant. We sent an appeal to you our supporters, volunteers and donors. Several local businessmen pledged their support to help the challenge multiply. Our board held several luncheons, our staff shared how God continues to use this ministry to transform lives. Hearts were moved and gifts were laid at the feet of Jesus. You responded in a tremendous way. Before the dawn of 2018, to His Glory, we not only met the Challenge Grant, but exceeded the amount our board so boldly requested. Prayers are so important! I hope you will continue to keep Prison Prevention Ministries in your daily prayers. The power of prayer not only supplies our needs but grows our faith, binds us together in love and equips us for service. Pray for our counselors as they go into the schools and take students on prison tours, pray that God will continue to open eyes and change hearts. Pray that we will find the right servants to join us in our desire to share the Gospel with at-risk youth. Pray that God will use the revival at CCA / Silverdale in February for His Glory and many will come to know him in a real personal way. Pray for our volunteers who go into the prisons, that they will not be discouraged, but empowered! Pray for future staff, as we seek God's timing in growing and funding these new positions. There is such a great need. Pray for our Banquet, March 8, 2018, that God will be glorified and we will be encouraged and challenged. I ran across this quote and want to end with this thought: When we pray, God hears more than we say, answers more than we ask, gives more than we imagine in His own time and His own way. Please continue to pray for PPM! David E. Johnson Executive Director CONTACT INFORMATION David Johnson, Executive Director ● (423) 622-5768 [email protected] WWW.PRISONPREVENTION.ORG

2018 Announcements and Special Events Helping youth make positive choices in their lives; helping inmates make positive changes thru Christ! Why do we have fundraising events? Because we believe in what we do! We raise money to see positive change in the lives of at-risk kids and inmates in Hamilton and Bradley Counties, TN and Catoosa, Murray, Walker and Whitfield Counties, GA. Events like these make it possible for PPM staff to continue to guide men and women, boys and girls to make better decisions, connect them to positive avenues for personal growth, and promote mentor relationships. Help us make a difference in your community by volunteering for or participating in our fundraising events.

At our Christmas Angel program, 100 volunteers arrived to love on the kids, provide crafts, skits, lead in worship and share the true meaning of Christmas. We are also thankful for the many volunteers that are willing to serve!
