The primary focus is to build confidence, self‑esteem and promote character development along with sparking an enthusiasm for physical activity, health and exercise. In addition to general physical education classes, many activities are offered to the CYC members. These activities include Players in Progress (PIP), dance, stickball, tumbling, etc. To participate in the health and fitness program, the child must be a member of the CYC.

JR. FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (JR. FLL) is an exciting opportunity for Chickasaw students 6‑8 years of age. Junior FIRST LEGO League teaches the benefits of teamwork, sparks an interest in science and technology and introduces basic design skills through a hands‑on approach with the fun of LEGO building. FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (FLL) provides Chickasaw students, ages 9-14, with an exciting experience in a global robotics program that ignites an enthusiasm for discovery, science and technology. Students research and solve real‑world problems based on the challenge theme, present research and solutions and build an autonomous robot using engineering concepts. FIRST TECH CHALLENGE (FTC) is beginning‑level robotics training for high school students. Students discover the interesting and rewarding life of engineers and researchers. The competition challenges teams of students and mentors to solve a common problem by designing and building a robot using a standard kit of parts and a common set of rules. To compete, students must focus on design, demonstrate team spirit, professionalism and maturity and the ability to overcome obstacles. FIRST ROBOTICS COMPETITION (FRC) allows students to build on skills learned as an FTC participant. Operating under strict guidelines, limited resources and a short build period, FRC teams are challenged to design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills and build and program a 120‑pound robot to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. Team mentors share their skills and talents to guide each team. To compete, students must focus on design, demonstrate team spirit, professionalism and maturity and the ability to overcome obstacles. CHICKASAW NATION AVIATION & SPACE ACADEMY (CNASA) is a weeklong academy for Chickasaw students interested in space, aviation, math and science. The CNASA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM provides Chickasaw students across the country with an opportunity to participate in the Chickasaw Nation Aviation & Space Academy. Interested students must submit a scholarship application and a CNASA application, which contains competitive criteria applicants must meet. A committee will evaluate and rank completed applications to determine scholarship recipients. CNASA scholarships will cover the cost of round‑trip airfare or mileage, lodging and meals. The Angel Tree program provides gifts to low income Native American children ages 17 and under.

The burial assistance program is for Native Americans residing within the Chickasaw Nation boundaries. The Chickasaw Nation will pay up to $2,500, directly to the funeral home, toward the final balance of a Chickasaw citizen’s burial expenses. The burial assistance program cannot reimburse families. Verification of citizenship, Social Security card, death certificate, final funeral home statement, income, verification of deceased’s address and residence must be provided to apply.

The Chickasaw Nation Headquarters Gym is a state‑of‑the‑art basketball facility available for rent to Chickasaw citizens for tournaments and practices. The gym is built to accommodate a variety of ages, with goals that adjust from eight to 10 feet. Open gym times will be available for shoot arounds and pick up games. Additional amenities include a digital scoreboard, PA system, concession stand and locker rooms.

The complex features two adult fields and one youth field. Each field is built to accommodate a variety of softball events, from t‑ball and coach‑pitch, to slow‑pitch and fast‑pitch games. This program provides assistance to Chickasaw citizens who have an urgent, unmet need for assistance with gas, water, propane, electric bills and/or deposits.

The ART OF THE CHICKASAW WOMAN EXHIBIT showcases the art, strength, spirit and creativity of Chickasaw women. The exhibit takes place in conjunction with the annual Dynamic Women Conference. The BUTTERFLY ART CONTEST takes place annually prior to the Dynamic Women of the Chickasaw Nation Conference for female Chickasaw youth, ages 14-18. This program seeks traditional stories or stories about the old ways. Both youth and adults can participate. The IMANOLI WRITER’S CONFERENCE is designed for writers looking to enhance their writing skills. Professionals from diverse fields of writing share their knowledge about the different aspects of the writing process, writing styles and publishing. Conference is free and open to the public. The conference takes place on the first Thursday in August. The MUSICAL TOUR offers the season's musical which tours to various locations within the Chickasaw Nation boundaries. Once per year, a large‑scale musical will be produced and performed at predetermined venues. This gives citizens an opportunity to be involved with or experience art through live performance. PERFORMING ARTS ENRICHMENT CLASSES offer various performing arts disciplines such as: auditioning, head shot, résumé, acting, technical theater, stage makeup, etc. The RECORDING BOOTH/STUDIO offers recording services in the small recording booth in the arts & humanities building. Recordings include voice recordings or music recordings. The TEEN MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP program provides opportunities for teens, ages 8-16, to be a part of the musical theatre workshop ending with a final performance. CAREER TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM (CTP) GRANT shall be based on the student’s program’s tuition and fee costs, with $6,000 being the maximum award amount per certification. CHICKASAW HUMANITIES STUDIES COURSES are offered at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, and Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma, with college credit awarded upon successful completion of each course. In the Clemente I course, students explore the rich and diverse culture, history, government, language and experience of the Chickasaws in comparison to Western culture. Clemente II is similar in focus, but compares and contrasts Chickasaw history and culture with various North American tribes. CHICKASAW YOUTH HUMANITIES WORKSHOP tailors elements of the Chickasaw Humanities university courses to youth courses. Young attendees will learn several aspects of the Chickasaw people and tribe, including history and present‑day events. The workshop is open to youth, ages 9-13. TRADITIONAL STORYTELLING shares our stories with audiences at schools, civic organizations, clubs and universities. Stories are shared through story concerts, such as Spooky Tales in October and Love Stories in February, as well as storytelling workshops. Storytelling can be integrated into the standard Oklahoma academic curriculum.

ADULT ART CLASSES provide an introduction to various mediums and subject matter. Enrollment is open to community members, with classes in Ada at the arts and humanities building, and in Sulphur at the ARTesian Gallery & Studios. AFTER SCHOOL ARTS PROGRAM (ASAP) introduces students, ages 8-12, to new art media and fundamentals. Three sessions are offered during the school year and are open to Chickasaw citizens, other tribal youth and non-Native students. The CHICKASAW YOUNG ARTISTS STUDIO (CYAS) assists students, grades seven‑12, with art portfolios, contest preparation, one‑on‑one studio time with an instructor and provides general mentoring of Chickasaw young artists throughout the year. SENIOR CITIZENS ART WORKSHOPS are offered each fall and spring for senior citizens affiliated with Chickasaw Nation area senior centers. Sign‑up sheets for workshops are coordinated through center managers. A GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP is available to Chickasaw students who take three or more credit hours each term and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Awards are based on enrollment and classification, and an incentive is available based on GPA. The GOVERNOR’S, LT. GOVERNOR’S & LEGISLATOR’S SCHOLARSHIPS are awarded one‑time only for graduating high school seniors who have achieved a high level of academic success. In order to be eligible for these scholarships, a student must have earned a 3.85 GPA or higher or have been selected class valedictorian or salutatorian. A HIGHER EDUCATION GRANT may be awarded to undergraduate, graduate or doctoral students who maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher each semester. An INTER‑TRIBAL COUNCIL OF THE FIVE CIVILIZED TRIBES JOHNSON‑O'MALLEY SCHOLARSHIP is awarded each year to one male and one female graduating high school senior. In order to be eligible for this one‑time only scholarship, students must be attending a school with a JOM program within the Chickasaw Nation boundaries. Applicants must submit one letter of recommendation and a 500‑word essay. Deadline is February 1. The LICENSE & CERTIFICATION FEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM assists college students with license and certification fees associated with their degree programs. A TEXTBOOK GRANT may be awarded to undergraduate, graduate or doctoral students enrolled in at least three college credit hours, who maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher each term.
Students enrolled in three to 11 hours may be awarded $250 per term, and students enrolled in 12 plus hours may be awarded $500 per term. Elderly specialists visit Chickasaw elders in their homes to assess the elder's needs. Elderly specialists will provide assistance in locating resources for the elder's need(s) and will assist in completing the necessary application and/or paperwork. Elderly specialists coordinate services with community health representatives (CHRs), State Department of Human Service representatives and other agencies that are beneficial to elders. The Chikasha House provides families or caregivers of patients admitted to the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center (CNMC) a convenient and relaxing “home away from home” lodging facility. There are two guest houses, each containing four guest rooms. One guest room in each house is also handicap accessible. All rooms contain two queen sized beds, a TV, refrigerator and private bathroom. In addition, both houses include a common kitchen and living area. Also available on site are a game room and outdoor playground, two serenity gardens, laundry facilities, a safe room and a state‑of‑the‑art security and surveillance system. • Signed referral by an authorized CNMC representative is required. • Guests must reside outside the immediate Ada area. • Accommodations are provided on a first come, first served basis. CHIP provides rehabilitation of older Mutual Help homes over and above the maintenance that is required of tenants, in accordance with the policies and home buyers’ agreements. It also provides rehabilitation to low rent developments as needed. In addition, CHIP provides grants for repairs of privately owned homes of low income Native Americans and emergency repairs of privately owned homes of Chickasaw citizens.
