PTP Turbo Blanket Installation Instructions Congratulations on the purchase of your new PTP Turbo Blanket. Please review the following instructions to ensure proper installation and longevity of your Turbo Blanket.
Before installing your Turbo Blanket, please ensure that the engine and exhaust have had time to cool. Make sure the turbo does not have an exhaust leak or any oil leaks. The PTP Turbo Blanket is non‐flammable, but if oil saturates the material, it can quickly deteriorate the Turbo Blanket. Please also ensure that the exterior surface of the Turbo Blanket is not in direct contact with a high temperature source, such as an exhaust manifold that has not been wrapped or heat protected. Turbo Blankets are designed to hold very high temperatures on the inside, but the outer material is less resilient to high temperatures. The use of safety glasses and gloves is recommended during installation. The fiberglass material can irritate the skin. A pair of wire snips will also be needed to cut the included wire used for securing the blanket.

Locate the included fastening wire, unwind it, and cut it in half or to whatever length you feel is suitable for your installation.
On one end of the cut wire, make a loop similar to above. PTP Turbo Blankets | www.PTPTurboBlankets.com | 512‐490‐6494 | M‐F 10A to 5PM CST
Attach the loop to one of the side rivets of the Turbo Blanket as shown above.
Take the opposite end of the wire and loop it around the opposite rivet, as shown above, and pull it until the blanket is held securely in place. PTP Turbo Blankets | www.PTPTurboBlankets.com | 512‐490‐6494 | M‐F 10A to 5PM CST
Loop the wire around the first rivet while keeping the wire tight to avoiding slack.
Make a final loop around the second rivet, and begin to wrap the wire around the rivet a couple of times. PTP Turbo Blankets | www.PTPTurboBlankets.com | 512‐490‐6494 | M‐F 10A to 5PM CST
Cut and remove any excess wire and tuck the wire end under the rivet. Follow the same steps for the other side of the Turbo Blanket if needed. The blanket should fit tight and snug. Be sure to keep the Turbo Blanket clean of any oil, fuel, or grease. Avoid using harsh chemicals when cleaning the Turbo Blanket. The Turbo Blanket has a break‐in period which leaves an unusual odor. This smell will disappear after a couple of days. If you have questions or require any additional support, please call us at the number listed below. Thank you! PTP Turbo Blanket Staff
