for Those Who are Tired of Taking Sides

By Beth Moore

By Scott Sauls

Purpose of 2016 – 2017 WoW Wednesday Mornings

To deepen our understanding of God’s story of redemption in our life and to share this story with others in humility, boldness, and confidence. Join us for one of these life-changing small group studies this Fall!

The Story of Your Life By Matthew West

We all have a story to share. Our story of faith in Jesus Christ is one in continual progress, rewrite upon rewrite. This interactive class will give you opportunities, in a safe, judgment-free space, to explore and discover your story. You will learn different ways to share your faith story through written and verbal exercises. Filled with powerful personal stories from Matthew West and his fans, The Story of Your Life Interactive Journey is a guidebook that will help readers heal from the hurts of their past and develop a deeper compassion toward others whose life stories are filled with pain. Readers will find that God, the author of their stories, is willing and able to rewrite the broken chapters of their lives, turning negatives into positives.

Leader: Jennifer Gross

We were never meant to take this journey of faith alone or in secret. God has entrusted us with the great and mighty gift of the gospel, something too precious and life-giving to keep to ourselves. In this Bible study, you will be encouraged to guard what God has entrusted to you, further His kingdom by sharing Christ with others, and pour into future generations just as Paul once mentored Timothy. In this journey of joy and hardship, we need each other to stay the course and live a life of faithfulness.

Leader: Sarah Sherwood and Kathy Phillips

To Know His Name to Share His Name By Julie Bernard As Jesus-followers, we have been commissioned to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in God’s Name - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Beginning with creation, God has revealed His character by using descriptive names – names such as Shaddai – the Everlasting God; Jehovah Jireh – the Lord with Provide; Adonai – Master; and Jehovah Nissi – the Lord is my Banner. Through His names, God reveals his provision, power, and His heart of love for His people. As we begin to understand the names of God, we know Him more intimately and are encouraged to trust Him more deeply so we can share who He is with others.

Whether the issue of the day on Twitter, Facebook, or cable news is our sexuality, political divides, or the perceived conflict between faith and science, today's media pushes each one of us into a frustrating clash between two opposing sides. Polarizing, us-against-them discussions divide us, and distract us from thinking clearly and communicating lovingly with others. If you are weary of the bickering and seeking a way of truth and beauty through the conflicts, Jesus Outside the Lines presents Jesus as this way. This book discussion shows us how the words and actions of Jesus reveal a response that does not perpetuate the destructive fray. Jesus offers us a way forward - away from harshness, caricatures and stereotypes. In Jesus Outside the Lines, you will experience a fresh perspective of Jesus that you will be encouraged to share with others in your neighbors, workplaces, and social settings.
