Reformation Lutheran School & Preschool Weekly Newsletter

WEEK OF DECEMBER 23 - 29, 2018 Principal's Message - Our Ministry. Our School. Our Calling. This is a busy time for everyone, but this is especially the time of year where the Reformation Lutheran School Board of Education, the principal and vice principal, preschool directors, and teachers start thinking ahead to the 2019-2020 school year. During this time we evaluate three main areas: 1. Our Mission 2. Our Curriculum 3. Our Staff I have reviewed the rst two, so this week, I concentrate on the staff. OUR STAFF We have an experienced and dedicated group of certi ed teachers, administrators, and parent volunteers. All K-8 teachers hold at minimum, a bachelor's degree in education. Some teachers hold higher degrees as well. Each teacher strives to create a supportive and challenging atmosphere to encourage students to be their best using their God-given talents. Beyond academics, we encourage and equip students with life lessons through our extracurricular activities. Our teachers daily reinforce the importance of knowing God's Word, strong values, and a caring heart. We truly care about each child in our classrooms. We love that you have paired with us in Christian education. It is a true privilege and one that we don't take lightly.

We are gearing up for the Reformation Basketball Tournament which will take place here FridaySunday, January 25-27, 2019. You will have many opportunities to come cheer on our Raiders teams. The world can be a dark place. We see it in the news. We see it in our lives. But on the rst Christmas, a brilliant light pierced the darkness. The child born in a Bethlehem stable had come to bring the light of forgiveness and peace to a darkened world. Join us to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ! Our Christmas worship will feature an inspiring message, favorite Christmas carols, and a place to bask in the light of the Christ child.
