WEEK OF NOVEMBER 11 - 17, 2018 Principal's Message - Being Extremely Thankful Psalm 107:1 - Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. I am thankful for beautiful weather. I am thankful for a beautiful campus to work on. I am thankful for a loving family. I am thankful for a Christian wife. I am thankful for wonderful Christian leaders to work with. I am thankful for dedicated Christian teachers. I am thankful for a staff full of encouraging co-workers. Do you have those days where you can't see your blessings and it's really hard to be thankful? I've had a couple of days like that. I'm sure you have too. But I have a wonderful group of people around me that encourage and give me Scripture as a reminder of my blessing. They remind me exactly what is stated in the Psalm above, "his love endures forever." His blessings never cease just like his love. It changes my mindset to intentionally look for the blessings. When that happens, the "bad stuff" just seems to fall away naturally. Fill your life with people like that. Surround yourself with those people who are willing to hold you accountable to what God promises. He loves you and he always will. Then give thanks to the Lord for those people. Then give thanks to the Lord for those blessings once you can see them again, because they are out there! I thank God that he has blessed me with the opportunity and privilege to work here at Reformation where I am surrounded by his Word, wonderful friends, families, and students! Thank God! Mr. Ross

Now is the time to reunite your children with their lost items in the courtyard. Please note that all items left at school after Wednesday, November 21, will be donated to a local charity. Thank you.

What’s in your lunchbox today? Did you know you can purchase a lunch at school for your student each day of the week? We know that sometimes it’s a challenge to get the lunchbox packed each day, with healthy foods that our kids will eat to keep themselves fueled for a day of learning and fun. In response to family requests, we added a school lunch caterer to our options this year and the meals are getting rave reviews—from students and staff members! Entrées are fresh and healthy, and whole fruit and fresh vegetables are always on the side. Next week’s menu from Top Notch Catering includes choices such as Mac and Cheese, Chicken Caesar Wrap, Veggie Fajita Bowl and Cheese or Pepperoni Pizza. Each day, you can choose from a cold entrée (such as a salad or wrap), a hot entrée or a hot vegetarian entrée. Sides and a drink are included and delivered to school at lunch time. You can order by 12 noon the day prior and easily order online, each lunch is $5. The link to set up an account and order is: http://topnotchlunches.com/ Our Wednesday lunch program continues with our fabulous team of volunteers and more than 70 students ordering lunch each week. Next week’s Wednesday meal is a traditional Thanksgiving spread, you’ll wish you were back in elementary school again! For additional details, you can always

Update from Mrs. Homan's Kindergarten Class Kindergarten has had a great start to the year! During our Bible time, we have been learning about the Old Testament. One of our favorite men is Joseph. Through Joseph, we have learned that God always has a plan in our lives. We have met 8 Superkid friends, who are teaching us to read. In math we have learned about numbers, patterns, money, and telling time. Our 1st grade friends join us in the afternoon. We have Social Studies, Science, and Writing with them. Right now, we are learning about past and present. This week we made butter, and wrote with a feather and paint. Next week we will be panning for gold and learn how to dye cloth. The kindergartners have already started practicing our Christmas program with Miss Brennan’s class. The students love being able to help the younger children. We would love for you to come hear us proclaim the birth of Christ on Sunday, December 9 at 9:15.
