Patriots coach Andy Fisher thought his team came out a bit flat, but he gave credit to the Raiders for keeping the Patriots on their heels with the bats. Night festivities to late classmate Lexi Mattingly, who passed away from complications related to a congenital heart defect two years ago. “It’s very special,” said Mattingly, her father. “We do this night in remembrance and pay a tribute to Lexi. It was special this year because these were her classmates. I told the team ‘play tonight to be thankful, appreciative’ and not take things for granted. ‘Take advantage of tonight and go out, have fun and play hard. Purdue golf scramble planned JASPER — The Purdue Alumni Club of Dubois County’s 25th annual Virgil I. “Gus” Grissom Memorial Scholarship Golf Scramble will take place June 6 at Sultan’s Run Golf Club. Registration begins at noon, with the shotgun start taking place at 1 p.m. The entry fee is $70 per person. There will also be a scholarship banquet at 6:15 p.m., with dinner being served at 7 p.m. The cost is $20 per person.
