Rangers top Braves; Raiders, Jeeps fall to Titans From Herald Staff Reports Monday night wasn’t the busiest for local prep sports teams, but there were Prep a few activiSports ties going on, including a PAC boys basketball battle and a boys swim meet between two county rivals. Here’s a brief rundown of Monday night’s prep sports action.

The Forest Park boys basketball team used a strong fourth quarter to propel themselves to a road victory over Pocket Steffe Athletic Conference foe Tecumseh.

The Rangers were down by three points entering the fourth quarter, but they held the Braves to just six points in the final period as they closed the Lauderdale door late. Curt Hopf led Forest Park with

18 points and nine rebounds, while Simon Jacob finished with 14 points and five rebounds and Reid Steffe made three three-pointers for nine points. Steven Molinet led Tecumseh with 14 points.

■■ Boys Swimming Raiders, Jeeps fall to Titans: The

Southridge and Northeast Dubois boys swimming teams fell to Gibson Southern at Dubois on Monday evening. The Titans finished with 100 points, while the Raiders ended up with 93 and the Jeeps were third

with 91 total points. First-place finishers for the Raiders were the 200 medley relay team, Alex Biehl (200 freestyle, 500 freestyle), Leyton Lauderdale (100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke) and the 200 freestyle relay team. For the Jeeps, first-place finishes went to Pierce Brinkman (200 individual medley), Colby Stafford (50 freestyle, 100 butterfly), Preston Brinkman (100 backstroke) and the 400 freestyle relay team.

Dubois free throw winners announced DUBOIS — The winners of the Good Shepherd of the Hills Knights of Columbus free throw competition in Dubois have been announced. Boy winners were Carson Beck (age 9), Lane Neukam (age 10), Zachary Betz (age 11), Evan Mitchell (age 12), Aiden Buechler (age 13) and Evan Smith (age 14). Girl winners were Bailey Werner (age 10), Madalyn Burgan (age 11), Emma Mitchell (age 12) and Emma Betz (age 13).  

Ferdinand free throw winners announced

FERDINAND — The Ferdinand K of C Council free throw competition winners were announced on Monday. Boy winners were Cash Laake (age 9), Kristopher Fuhrman (age 12) and Bryce Troesch (age 14). The lone winner on the girls side was Amelia Widoloff (age 11).
