WELCOME TO EMMANUEL, REV. DR. ROBIN STEINKE Today Emmanuel is pleased to greet the Rev. Dr. Robin Steinke to all sanctuary services. The Rev. Dr. Robin Steinke came to Luther Seminary as president in June 2014, being the first woman in the 145-year history of the seminary to be named to the position. Dr. Steinke is known for her strategic leadership and passion for sharing the gospel. She is involved in a number of important church and academic initiatives. She recently co-chaired the national ELCA Theological Education Advisory Council that made a variety of recommendations for the future of theological education. We are so blessed to have you as our guest speaker today, Dr. Steinke—welcome!

What a lovely occasion for us this past Sunday. We have been so blessed while being here and all of you have made Emmanuel a special place we’ll always cherish. Thanks for all the cards, gifts and blessings you have showered on us as I retire. I intend to be around mentoring Will and Ian, as well as continue to be on the Emmanuel Academy Board. Volunteers Needed For Family Literacy Day! Grace Place for Children and Families needs volunteers for its Family Literacy Day. On April 7, 2018 (10 am to12 pm), the Grace Place campus will be turned into an Olympic Village! Volunteers will help lead literacy activities, games, and crafts helping our students and families learn about different countries and cultures. This is a great opportunity to volunteer with a friend or a group.
