Old Business: Capital appeal along with annual appeal will start middle of January with a meeting to be held on February 1, 2015. Members are encouraged to contribute on the same level as they have in the past. Low key meetings will be held with current Redeemer members giving them an opportunity to ask questions. These meetings will continue until the February meeting. The hunger appeal went extremely well with donations received in the amount of $3,300.00, a great response from members. Strategic planning search for a consultant is nearing an end with only two more interviews to be held and a decision to be reached in the near future. The Holiday Fair was again a great success with first count collected is $12,000.00. A meeting will be held on November 23 to disburse the funds with some requests being received for: CYF youth trip to national conference; new blue banners for sanctuary; piano benches; window replacement are just a few of the requests. All Saints day service was a very emotional event with the candle lighting adding a new dimension to the service.

New Business: Council members are to attend the second new member class on December 1 at 7:00pm. Gene Ruehle and Trent Doering, new Scout Master for troop 9434. Trent stopped by the council meeting to introduce himself as the new Scout Master and express his appreciation for all the support the Troop has received from Redeemer. Gene and Trent are requesting a fund raiser appeal for Troop 9434. Motion was made for an appeal to serve a pancake breakfast on Sunday, December 14th and March 22nd between church services. The first pancake breakfast’s proceeds will go back to Redeemer Lutheran. The second pancake breakfast proceeds will go back to the Troop. The Council members discussed the request with December date being the day of the Children’s Christmas program and also events scheduled for the March date. It was also discussed that Redeemer does its own fund raising events according to church policy. It was suggested that the Scout Troop hold the fund raiser on a Saturday so they could include a wider Community attendance. After much discussion the motion was unanimously denied. Motion appeal was made to collect winter clothing for Open Hands Midway and Solid Ground. Boxes will be placed by the Welcome center with collection to be held from November 16 through December 7, 2014. Motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
