Kids Ministry Assistant Redeemer Kids Ministry Redeemer Kids Director 10 hours per week

Job Purpose: To work closely with the Redeemer Kids Director and the K-4 Coordinator in providing assistance in the Sunday morning program in the areas of kids worship, leading the large group lesson, and being a constant and reliable presence on Sunday. Be responsible for the administrative tasks during the week. Time will be split in half: Five hours on Sunday morning and 5 hours during the week. Duties & Responsibilities: Sunday Mornings • Provide support to the K-4 Coordinator and is available to step in when necessary. • Lead the large group lesson on a consistent schedule. • Help motivate children and teachers to get excited about worship. • Set up and break down the check in equipment. Weekly Responsibilities: • Maintain RK database (CCB), weekly attendance reports, Special Events and CCB forms. • Work with the K-4 Coordinator to plan, prepare, and execute the Sunday morning program. • Attend the monthly Kids staff meetings. • Will further their knowledge base with reading materials as lead by the Kids Director. • Be a part of the planning of special events if hours are available. • Keep accountability with the Kids Director at scheduled meetings • Keep classroom visuals/posters up to date. • Manage the check-in volunteer schedule and email volunteer reminders. • Administrative work: o Profile matching for all Redeemer Kids events o Assist Redeemer Kids Director with correspondences relating to the ministry o Assist the Redeemer Kids Director in maintaining accurate records in CCB o Match and send Sunday attendance numbers weekly Skills/Qualifications • Desire to go into ministry in the future • A growing relationship with Christ and a deep love of children • Previous experience working with children and youth • A willingness to be a team player who is energetic and exhibits a cooperative spirit • Good communication skills • Exceptional moral and ethical character • A willingness to listen and provide guidance
