Route 252 Praise Team Coordinator Part-time SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinates the administrative functions of the Route 252 Praise Team. Assists in all aspects of setting up for the Route 252 weekend program. The incumbent will also provide basic childcare services at NewSpring Church. The incumbent must perform all job duties as outlined in this job description to support ongoing mission of the church while committed in accordance with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000 edition). ESSENTIAL DUTIES •

Coordinates the scheduling of 10+ volunteers for the Praise Team and leads the Praise Team practice on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Leads the Route 252 Praise Team and performs with the Praise Team during select weekend services. (app. 20%) Reviews acquired curriculum and previous worship sets to find music selections for the weekend KidzWorld services, suggesting new music as needed. Creates new choreography for all new songs, filming videos of new choreography for the Praise Team as needed. (app. 15%) Assists with the stage, room and small group area set up for the weekend services. (app. 15%) Facilitates, as needed, a small group of elementary age kids during weekend services. (app. 10%) Assists with the compilation and loading of special effects and graphics into ProPresenter. Assists with programming lights as needed. (app. 20%) Helps when needed as a stage presenter during weekend services and special events (comedic/credible roles or storyteller). Assists the Senior Administrative Pastor with camp activities. (app. 10%) Provides childcare for events at NewSpring Church including First Wednesday and Life Teams childcare, and other ministry events as needed (app. 5%) Assists with school shows (filming for videos, fill in as various stage presenter roles, minor modifications to scripts as needed) (app. 5%) These duties are subject to change as church needs and strategies evolve. Employee may be required to perform other duties.

EDUCATION/TRAINING •

A minimum of a high school diploma is required.

EXPERIENCE •

A minimum of 1-2 years of experience leading worship in children’s ministry.

REQUIRED SKILLS • •

Coordination, organization and communication skills Vocal and choreography skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: • Sitting, standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling; occasionally some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. • Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS • 100% inside On occasion, may provide supervision to volunteers.
