That He would be involved in their lives forever ✦ Going to prepare a place ✦ Come back and receive them forever

That He was the answer to a relationship with God ✦ One of Jesus’ most definitive statements ✦ This statement makes Christianity exclusive ✦ This was a sealing statement that confirmed Jesus’ previous words

These statements limit Jesus - He is all these things or a mad man ✦ Not the words of a great teacher / philosopher / example

BELIEFS THAT SETTLE OUR HEARTS Jesus does not want us troubled and agitated ✦ So we believe in Him and what He has done for us (John 14:27 NKJV)

Jesus does not want us worried and wondering about what’s next ✦ We don’t sorrow as them with no hope ✦ Paul summed up the next life (Philippians 1:23 NKJV)

Jesus does not want us unsure about where we stand with God ✦ Have I done enough? - a works based belief system ✦ But Jesus did enough - our standing with God is through faith in Him (Romans 5:1 NKJV)
