TONY

WASHINGTON AN ART FOR SHARING Every Saturday when he isn’t caught up in the grind of the football season, the Ducks’ 2013 leader in sacks, Tony Washington, leads the art access program, the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art’s weekly workshop for young artists with disabilities. “I really figured out what art can do for you. It lets you express yourself in a different way,” said Washington. “Just by looking at art, you don’t always know what it’s trying to portray because there are so many ideas and thoughts that go into a piece.”

Read more about Tony in today’s game program.

FROM LAST WEEK... ESPN College GameDay visited Eugene for the ninth time on Sept. 6. Oregon is the only school to host GameDay six consecutive years. The Ducks boast a 7-2 record when the show airs from Eugene, including Saturday’s 4627 win over Michigan State. COLLEGE GAMEDAY

Marcus Mariota finished the day 17-of-28 for 318 yards and three touchdowns through the air. He set the Oregon career record for total offense (8,479) yards and the career record for touchdown passes (69) on Sept. 6 against Michigan State. MARCUS MARIOTA

Junior defensive lineman DeForest Buckner followed up his sixtackle performance against South Dakota in the Aug. 30 opener with seven on Sept. 6 against the No. 7 Michigan State Spartans.

DEFOREST BUCKNER

JAIRUS BYRD

PRO DUCK OF THE WEEK Jairus Byrd made an impressive debut on this new team, the New Orleans Saints in the season opener this past weekend. In the last second loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Byrd had 5 solo tackles. Byrd had one major impact play as he stripped the ball away from Atlanta receiver Julio Jones, causing Jones to fumble the ball in the end zone for a touchback. Byrd signed with the Saints this past offseason after being drafted and playing 5 seasons for the Buffalo Bills. Photo Courtesy of New Orleans Saints
