Scattering The Light - Life Group Questions

1. You are the light of the world. What are your thoughts when you hear that statement? How do you feel when you put that thought on yourself (I am the light of the world)? 2. Pastor Dan asked this question: If my life was summed up in the space of this corona-season, how would I be remembered? How would your family answer that question? Co-workers? Neighbors? 3. Our neighbors don’t need perfection, they need light. And oftentimes our light is best seen through the cracks of our own brokenness. Have you ever felt like you needed to “get yourself together” before reaching out to love and serve your neighbors? How can we get past that misconception? 4. Does it matter where we gather Sunday if we don’t love our neighbors on Monday? How would you answer that question? 5. Do you struggle to believe that the secret weapon of the Church, of Front Yard Missions, could be something as straightforward as hospitality? If it is the secret weapon why are we oftentimes so slow to see it and embrace it? 6. Do you agree that our church buildings have the potential to become the basket that hides our lights from our neighbors? Why or why not? 7. What is your FYM next step?
