Faith Mission Update and Other Opportunities to Serve Faith Mission Meals: On Oct. 1, 20 individuals/families donated food & 16 were involved in the preparation and serving dinner to 225 at Faith Mission. If you have leftover Halloween candy, please leave it in the marked container in the kitchen. We continue to collect for the Christmas gifts for Faith Men's Shelter. A list of needed items & collection bins are available in the lobby. Stephen Ministry coat/boot drive – We continue to collect gently used or new adult boots and coats for Faith Mission. Please leave them on the rack provided. LWML: In September, 16 ladies began a service project to make pillowcase dresses for the Orphan Grain Train. 9 ladies continued that work, and we ended up with a total of 90 dresses! Our LWML is providing opportunities for children 14 & under to help serve Faith Mission. On Nov. 9, we invite families to join us from 6:30-7:30 p.m. to finish off fleece neck scarves for Faith Mission. We will have our devotion and business meeting after the service project. All ladies are welcome. Refreshments will be provided. We are still need more fleece. Check out the LWML table for more information. Questions? Contact Cathy Fernandez. Dorcas Circle News: This year, our group had 23 boxes to add to the annual truck bound for Lutheran World Relief. We collected 38 Quilts, 42 baby care kits, 11 sewing kits, and 3 blankets. Thank you to those who contributed. We’d also love your donations of old sheets. We meet the first Wed. of the month @ 9 a.m. We’ll begin with devotions and a short meeting, and then we knot quilts while having fellowship. We’d love to have more hands to help us! All are welcome! Calling All Seasoned and New Handbell Ringers! Rehearsals for handbells will be held from 7:30-8:30 p.m. on Nov. 12 & 19 and Dec. 3 & 10. Want to learn to ring? Advent Service Projects: We have need for supplies for service projects. Please bring in jeans/denim pants (holey are fine), clean milk jugs, and new socks and place them in the baskets beneath the credenza. More information available on the Advent flyer.
