FAITH MISSION UPDATE

On June 4th, St. John served a dinner of Tortilla Lasagna, salad, and pie to at least 200 people. 7 people made pies (which were a huge hit); 8 people prepared food the day before; 10 people helped to serve, including 4 new volunteers (1 of whom was our youngest volunteer yet!); and 15 people donated items, for a total of 29 different people involved in carrying out this mission. To God be the glory! Pray for continued blessings on this mission.

LWML in JULY Please join the Lutheran Women in Mission of St. John on July 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the library for food, fun, and fellowship, including Bible Study, a short business meeting, and dedication of Mites. Then, we will assemble meals for our new Associate Pastor Adam Steinbrenner and his wife, Rachael, as they settle into their life in Dublin and ministry at St. John.

“Pounding” and “Carding” Pantry Shower For Pastor Adam & Rachael Steinbrenner Let’s show our love and support for our new Associate Pastor and his wife by “pounding” them with pounds of pantry items – food, paper products, cleaning supplies, etc. – or by “carding” them (they are awfully young looking ) with gift cards for grocery stores, Walmart, gas stations, and restaurants. You may pick up gift cards from the Preschool scrip program and support that ministry while welcoming Pastor Adam and Rachael. Pantry items may be left on the fireplace, and gift cards may be left in the box in the church office by July 5. Let’s give them a big St. John Dublin welcome! Pantry Items & Gift Cards Due July 5th
