St John Street and Cowcross Street reopening, Water main upgrade completion Thank you very much for your patience whilst we undertake the final phase of the water main replacement works in St John Street and Charterhouse Street. We are carrying out the works to replace and protect the water main due to the proximity to nearby tunneling works which are part of the new Crossrail Farringdon station. Road Resurfacing St John Street works final phase is expected to complete on 31 July. We will handover the worksite compound to the London Borough of Islington on 1 August, who will resurface the road between St John’s Lane and Charterhouse Street junction over the weekend of 9 and 10 August. A small compound will remain by Grand Avenue until 7 August 2014. Roads Reopening Following successful completion of the works and resurfacing, St John Street and Cowcross Street will be fully reopened on 10 August. Again, we thank you for your patience whilst we have carried out these works.
