Principal Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Ø

Direct line experience with Mississippi's Accountability System for Government Information and Collaboration (MAGIC) specifically relating to the Supplier Resource Module (SRM) and Contract modules within MAGIC. Familiarity with budgets, cost centers, internal orders and other MAGIC coding a plus; Review and approve purchase requests from MDA staff for procurement of goods and services using Purchase Orders; Review and approve purchase order changes of Purchase orders as necessary and at Fiscal mid-year and Fiscal end of year; Assist Purchasing Director with Requests for Proposals, Quote and Invitation for Bids, and Small Contracts review; Review and approve purchase requests from MDA staff for procurement of goods and service using UMB Procurement Card; Review and approve documentation submitted monthly by MDA UMB Procurement Card cardholders to insure compliance with DFA polices; Supervise the Travel Unit which is responsible for auditing travel documents submitted by agency employees for compliance with State travel laws and policies. Responsible for preparing and submitting for approval to DFA, MDA Real Property or Office Space Leases; Supervise 3 to 4 lower level employees and assist with purchase orders, contract tracking and problem solving issues; Work with agency staff to establish direct billing accounts with hotels, conference centers and other venues for agency events; and Perform other tasks as assigned to include special projects or absences within the unit. Other tasks may be assigned as time and workload allow. The incumbent must be a team player and take initiative to offer assistance when coworkers need help.
