Exploring Playlists • • • •
Search for “Shen” under Teachers Choose “Mr. Shen” Check out the playlists there. We’ll be discussing the differences in format of the two playlists
Share-out • When comparing the two playlists, what differences jumped out at you?
Best Practices • Our list is based on the experiences of: – 7 teachers generating a shared curriculum for this academic year – The teaching faculty of 4 schools generating shared curriculum over the last 4 weeks – A team of 3 former teachers working all year on what playlists in a blended learning environment look like
Best Practices • Begin each playlist with an objective • Keep headings for subsections brief and link them to the objective • Name a resource with its type and title • Include the name of common resources in parentheses at the end, i.e. (Khan Academy)
Making Activate Even Better • For those of you who have Illuminate DnA: Online Testing!
Future Plans • What’s there already: – Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 curriculum
• Things we’re working on now – English, Math, History, Science, Spanish – To be complete for grades 6-12 by August
