Ministry Residency Program at Denver Seminary INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY: CCC Student Ministries High School Ministry Resident LOCATION: Centennial Covenant Church POSITION SUMMARY: Centennial Covenant Church is seeking a high school youth ministry intern to help cultivate life-long faith in the lives of high school students. This position will focus primarily on participating in the shared leadership of the high school ministry with an emphasis on cultivating faith forming relationships with our high school students and leading elements of our weekly program and, as able, special events. CHARACTER PROFILE: Strong Christian character, spiritual vibrancy, a special aptitude for ministry leadership, a natural ability to connect with students, and an evident love for Christ. TUITION CONSIDERATION:

$3,000 per Semester (Fall and Spring Semesters) 10% tuition discount Taxable Living Stipend: $100/month Access to ministry expense account

ESTIMATED TIME COMMITMENT: 12 hours per week plus four weeks time off. Residency is reevaluated and renewed annually. Beginning May or June 2018. OBJECTIVES: The high school intern will join a community of people intentionally pursuing relationships of trust and transformation with the high school students of Centennial Covenant Church. Some of the primary responsibilities will include: -

Intentionally building relationship of trust and transformation with students in the CCC high school student ministries. Relationally demonstrating a mature Christian faith, openly sharing about that faith with students – including the reality of struggles or doubts as appropriate – and through this seeking to catalyze spiritual growth in students lives. Participation in a weekly student ministry leadership meeting. Leadership in weekly youth programs. Participation in special events and trips as able. Participation as able (ideally, monthly) in church staff meetings.

DEFINITION OF THE MINISTRY RESIDENCY PROGRAM: By Definition the Residency Program is an Internship and contains the following: 1. Similar ministry training as that available in and through schooling for future clergy; 2. This training is for the benefit of the trainee; 3. Resident is not a replacement for a regular employee, but works under close observation; 4. This program is considered to be of greater value to the trainee than to the employer; 5. Trainees are not necessarily entitled to a job at the completion of the program; 6. Employer and trainee understand that trainees are not entitled to wages for the time spent in training.
