Thank you. On behalf of the entire family, I want to once again say thank you for your condolences, prayers, and words of encouragement upon the passing of my mother. This occurred just 10 weeks after my father’s death. Like Timothy’s mother, Eunice, my mother was marked by a sincere faith in Jesus Christ, one who educated her children in God’s Word from our earliest days, in order to make us “wise for salvation” (2 Timothy 1:5; 3:15). The Master Plan Team has scheduled listening sessions for the purpose of listening to input from the congregation and sharing information as it becomes more defined. The sessions are scheduled: August 12, 9:30am August 26, 11am
GET INVOLVED On Sunday, August 5 at 9:30am, parents and those interested in volunteering with Children’s Ministries are invited to meet our new Director of Children’s Ministries, Gwen MacDonald, learn more about the vision for Children’s Ministries, and see if serving in this area is a good fit. We’ll see you there! Summer Choir will be held every Sunday in August, with rehearsals each Wednesday for the following Sunday. If you would like to give choir a try during this period, you are welcome to join us on August 1 at 8pm. Do you have any experience with creating and editing videos? We are looking to form a Video Team to help us as we prepare to stream the Sunday morning services and to create general church ministry promo videos. Streaming the service live will benefit those who aren’t able to make it to a service due to weather, illness, or trips out of town. Come to our Baptism Class to understand what baptism is and why we do it. We will answer questions like, "What exactly is baptism and why do we get baptized?", "When should I be baptized?", "Is it okay if I was just baptized as a baby?" and other important questions. We want to answer these questions for families, and we encourage parents to attend the class with their students.

Even if you aren’t being baptized, plan to attend the Baptism Service as we support and encourage those taking this next step in their walk with Christ! The service will be held offsite. Bring your favorite appetizer to share for a time of fellowship following the service.

Get ready for a summertime picnic for all adults, sponsored by Forever Faithful. Join us on Thursday, August 2, from 12-3pm at Rochester Park, 710 Hickory Street, Sheboygan Falls . . . rain or shine! Sign up in your Equip class or on the bulletin board near the Gathering Grounds coffee bar to bring a salad, fruit or dessert. Brats and burgers are only $1/singles, $2/doubles . . . payable at the picnic. We’ll have the privilege of hearing from Pastor Jon MacDonald and others, as they explain the selection process our church follows in supporting various missionaries.
