What images come to mind when you hear the word “wisdom”?
Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square; on top of the wall she cries out, at the city gate she makes her speech: Proverbs 1:20-21
THE SIGNS OF THE WISE HUMILITY God gets full credit for anything Joseph has to offer (41:16, 25, 28). VISION Joseph understands the times and knows how to proceed (v. 33-37). SPIRITUALITY Pharaoh recognizes Joseph has the Spirit of God in him (v. 38). FAITHFULNESS Joseph follows through with his plan (v. 47-49). HOPE Joseph honors God with hopeful words at his children’s birth (v. 51). TRUSTWORTHINESS Pharaoh trusts Joseph to lead the people through the famine (v. 55).
