ENGINEER: Closed Loop Cooling Water Systems Specialist High-energy particle physics laboratory has an exceptional opportunity for a chemical or mechanical engineer to work on corrosion and cooling water systems. Will design modifications, additions, and new radioactive and nonradioactive, closed loop, low conductivity cooling water systems. Will be involved in hydraulics, instrumentation, corrosion control and radiation shielding for cooling water systems serving our two-mile electron accelerator on such experimental equipment as collimators, slits and magnets. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering is required plus several years experience in nuclear applications — including heat transfer and fluid flow. Background must also include supervision of engineers and draftsmen and familiarity with deionized water systems and corrosion prevention. The Stanford Linear Accelerator Center is an integral department of Stanford University and is operated as a national facility. Please send résumé to G. Ε Renner, Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, ΡΌ. Box 4349, Stanford, California 94305. An equal opportunity employer. STANFORD LINEAR ACCELERATOR C E N T E R
